Email conversation enhancement to move attachment to more recent email in chain when original attachment email deleted

Often when you send an email containing a large attachment (e.g. 10Mb and above) to a distribution list consisting of a number of people, someone will reply back to the entire group without actively removing the original attachment. Then perhaps someone else will reply to that email reply, and so on. What follows is that an "email conversation" has begun, which can lead to several emails filling your inbox, all containing the original large attachment, which is now redundant because everyone viewed it the first time anyway.

    This leads to a waste of storage and can be of great inconvenience to users, such as:
mobile users with limited bandwidths.
users using email systems where personal storage space for their emails is severely restricted to an allocation in a range of strict tiers (which are often not too generous!)

    The result is that users often have to wade through such emails, manually deleting redundant attachments, which then impacts upon productivity and so on.

    Email clients exist already which are clever enough to delete an attachment with the same name and exact file size that it knows already exists in the user's inbox, and perhaps it replace with the text, "Duplicate Attachment removed - please see this (clickable link) email for the original attachment".
