Method, apparatus and system to capture statistical information about an event passing thru various business process flows

Adapters allow business events to flow from/to an Enterprise Information System (EIS) to a listening client such as a business process or other application. The event flow is bidirectional and referred as inbound and outbound.

Inbound allows adapters to poll the target EIS at predefined intervals; whereas in outbound flow, clients external to the adapter sends the events to adapter and the adapter updates the corresponding records in the EIS suitably.

Disclosed is a method and system for facilitating a user to capture required statistical information about an event passing thru various business process flows using adapters in an efficient manner.

In accordance with the system disclosed herein, a new standard 'WBIMetaMessage' Business Object structure is provided. This business object captures all the required information so as to help users to work with adapter in an easier and elegant fashion. Fig.1 illustrates snapshot of WBIMetaMessage business object. Each of attributes defined in a standard header can be found below in the business object snapshot.

Unique ID used to correlate a message sent to Data Queue via adapter and its response. If the incoming/request message doesn't have any value populated for this, adapter would generate a unique ID of its own with the timestamp value
