Disclosed is a method and system for interactively computing and visualizing metrics associated with multi-dimensional data. Metrics corresponding to the multi-dimensional data are dynamically computed and a table based on the dynamically computed metrics is displayed on a faceted drill down interface as illustrated in the figure. Each facet in the interface is visualized as a tabular tree. When a user performs a drill down operation on the interface a correlation or a slice count corresponding to each facet is displayed. For each computed correlation corresponding to a facet, metrics are calculated dynamically. The metrics are calculated with respect to the other facets. This enables a user to identify the relationship between the dimension of the facet and the dimension of the computed metrics. Additionally, computation of the metrics is performed dynamically in response to a user performing the drill down operation and the dynamically computed metrics are used to populate corresponding columns in the respective tables. Further, the facet table may be organized based on various parameters such as slice counts, dimensions, etc.
