Abstract

This disclosure propose a model to standardize the cloud service (Deployment, start/stop and etc), while help to maintain the evolvements of solutions model to satisfy the change of business requirement over time (such as replace the component of the Service). This disclosure also provide a flexible mechanism to automate the service (model and process) creation work, which dramatically simplify the new management process creation and process customization during instantiation phase.

large scale, so an efficient system is needed by the administrator of cloud datacenter to manage them while reduce the cost . What' s more, expert knowledge is needed for the creation of each service, so how can automate and simplify it gets much more important. It is difficult to build model for the services in Cloud.

Problem

     It is difficult to build model for the services in Cloud
- Standardize the Cloud Service (Deployment, start/stop and etc)
- Keep the solutions model evolving over time (Replace the component of the Service)

     We need a flexible mechanism to automate the service (model and process) creation work
- Simplify the new management process creation process
- Support the process customization
- Need a method to manage all kinds of management process

Main Idea

  This disclosure propose a model to standardize the cloud service (Deployment, start/stop and etc), while help to maintain the evolvements of solutions model to satisfy the change of business requirement over time (such as replace the component of the Service). This disclosure also provide a flexible mechanism to automate the service (model and process) creation work, which dramatically simplify the new management process creation and process customization during instantiation phase.

The following diagram gives main idea for our disclosure: First create models for each component of the cloud service entity and add to the service component repository. Each component has a role, the capability and requirement, which describe the relationship and compatibility between different components. Taking J2EE application service for example, there will be at least 3 different components, application, database server and application server. The application needs a application server to run and a database server to store the data.
