Abstract

During the examination of medical images, multiple measurements on various segments are drawn. These findings are made available in the Findings Navigator automatically or manually. In the case of multiple findings, every finding has to be selected separately and to be created separately for the Findings Navigator. Figure 1 shows a snap-shot for multiple findings. This repetitive procedure is tedious. In the case of sending multiple findings as a single finding, each finding has to be selected and created. Further, in the case of appending a finding, all the findings have to be selected again along with the new finding. Afterwards, these findings have to be created again for the Findings Navigator. In addition, up to now, there is no option to replace findings in the Findings Navigator.

Drag-and-Drop Findings to Findings Navigator in MBOX Applications

Idea: Kavitha NG, IN-Bangalore

The existing procedure sends findings to the Findings Navigator automatically. Then the physician has to right-click on each finding to create a finding. To append findings, all the existing findings as well as the new finding have to be selected by the "Append finding" option from the menu. Up to now, there is no option to replace a finding. The specific finding has to be unchecked or deleted. Figures 2 and 3 show snap-shots of the current option, here exemplified at Magnetic Resonance (MR) Neuroperfusion.

The novel idea is to create the findings in the Findings Navigator just by a single drag-and-drop procedure, instead of selecting the existing menu manually for each individual finding. The only preconditions for this solution are that measurements are available and that no measurement tool is selected. To send multiple findings as a single finding, a menu "Select all" is provided to select all the findings on the image and drag-and-drop the findings...
