The GSA Game to System™ (G2S) Message Protocol provides an XML based standard of communications
between gaming devices (such as game software, meters, and hoppers) and gaming management systems (such
as progressives, cashless, and accounting).
This document describes Extension 1ito G2S message protocol versions 1.x.
The Gaming Standards Association expresses its appreciation to GTECH for its contribution of the
extensions described in this document.
I.II About GSA Protocol Extensions
Adoption of extensions to GSA protocols is governed by GSA Policy GP128, available for download from the
main GSA web site.
Extensions to a GSA protocol are developed by a GSA member and donated to GSA unconditionally. When
an extension is approved by a technical committee and/or the GSA Board of Directors, it is initially
documented separately, as in this document, but is then scheduled for inclusion in the next major revision of
the associated GSA protocol.
Extension documents only define the extended components of a GSA protocol and must be used in
conjunction with the original GSA protocol on which the extension is based. For example: in an extension to
the G2S protocol, if the extension adds new attributes to an existing command that originally contained several
attributes, the extension documentation will not document those original attributes, which are already
documented in detail in the G2S protocol.
Extension packages for GSA XML based protocols include updated and/or new XML schema files in addition
to the extension documentation. The schemas define the syntax for the protocol extensions. The document
defines additional requirements, business logic, and semantics that are required to be compliant with the

Extension 1i to the G2S Message Protocol extends the class, to allow the host to configure the list of
accessible games and denominations for an EGM.
