Abstract

Power generating tractor suspension system provides the seat suspension and also generates electric power which will be stored in rechargeable battery for further use. The power generating suspension system is derived from the current spring based suspension system. It consists of copper winding around springs which moves up and down along with the spring. Around each copper winding two apposite magnetic pole rods are mounted which produces steady magnetic field in-between space and have maximum flux linkage with the copper winding. So whenever winding moves due to movement of spring to absorbs the shocks, due to electromagnetic induction a high emf is generated in the copper winding. There are such three spring-copper winding coils in the arrangement which produce resulting additive emf which is further used to charge the rechargeable battery. So as long as tractor is in used this suspension assembly will continuously generate the electric power and stored in the rechargeable battery. Around each coil with spring inside, two oppositely mounted concave magnetic bars are present. The two opposite magnetic poles produce heavy magnetic field in the space between two magnets. This magnetic field has steady magnetic flux linkage with coil wound around the spring. So whenever due to jumps, spring moves up and down with high speed, along with the spring, copper coil will also moves which cause high change of magnetic flux. This change of magnetic flux by phenomenon of electromagnetic induction produces high emf (ac voltage) in the coil. The produced additive ac voltage from all three coils is converted in to DC voltage and used to charge quick charging capacitor. To this capacitor rechargeable battery is connected as load which get charge by draining the power from the capacitor. Thus with this suspension system, it provides the suspension to the driver while driving the tractor and at the same time it will generate the power and store it in the rechargeable battery.
