Using two screws and two retainers to fix the HDD with the HDD tray

Disclosed is a assembly for fixing the HDD with the HDD carrier. The device contains two screws, two retainers, and a U shape HDD carrier. The advantage of this assembly improve the assembling time and the manufacturing quality. The other advantage is that all the parts still remain together after removing from the logic unit. Also, the volume of this assembly is small, so the capacity density can be high.

On the U shape HDD carrier, there is a handle with a latch in the front for the user to take out the assembly from the logic unit. There is a arm extruded perpendicularly to the handle at each side of the handle. At the end of the arm, there is a screw hole. There is a rail on the inner side of the arm for the retainer. The concept drawing is showed in Pic 1.

There is a pin extruded perpendicularly from one side of the retainer. There is a screw hole at the other side of the retainer, parallel to the pin. The concept drawing is showed in Pic 2.

The pin on the retainer is to fit into the screw hole on the HDD which is at the other side of the HDD connector. Two retainer need to be snapped on the HDD. Please refer to the Pic 3.
