Cable System Guide

The purpose of cable system guide is to replace the standard cable wheel due the potentially hazardous effect of using an overhead cable wheel. In the current design, the cable wheel is moved from the hook floor to ground and the cable is confined into the guide when the cable is cut, avoiding possible injury.

The cable guide is composed of a half wheel that contains the en encoder and two load cells for testing the velocity and load.  If the Cable Catcher is used, an articulate hose prevents a cut cable injuring the people. The other end an arm helps to handle the cable close or far to the vertical of the wellhead. A pillar or column can be used to increase its height from the ground. The base is optional because it depends on the different possibilities to set the system on the rig to ground.
