Abstract

During the daily routine in a hospital, it is important that all information of the patients, including CT (Computer Tomography) or MR (Magnetic Resonance) images, are always accessible. However, the privacy of a patient has to be protected from unauthorized access. Therefore a MBOX, a Modality Box, is used. Applications of every modality (MR, CT, etc.) can be uploaded to the MBOX. Once images of a patient are uploaded, these images can be used from every authorized person for analyzing. Problems arise when resetting some images. Thereby three cases have to be distinguished.

However, the privacy of a patient has to be protected from unauthorized access. Therefore a MBOX, a Modality Box, is used. Applications of every modality (MR, CT, etc.) can be uploaded to the MBOX. Once images of a patient are uploaded, these images can be used from every authorized person for analyzing. Problems arise when resetting some images. Thereby three cases have to be distinguished.

The first case deals with the problem that occurs when all segments have to be reset after the work item is already finished. The second case addresses the problem that occurs when findings have to be reset in required steps only. This assumed that measurements are needed for several steps. The resetting refers to all or just one specific layout available in the required step. Meanwhile the other steps should be unchanged. The third case deals with the problem that, contrary to the first case, just a single or several individual segments have to be reset. Besides, the other segments should be left unchanged.

The currently arising problem in all these cases is that all measurements are getting lost after cancelling the work item. Then all findings, which have been created for a specific layout or segment, cannot be maintained. This leads to the consequence that after resetting all data of a patient has to be reloaded.

In the following a reset option within the MBOX applications is proposed. Therefore a 'reset', respectively 'reset segments' button is used, for each case mentioned above individually.
