Power supply for hearing aids is usually depletable and can therefore still be improved. Usually the battery of a hearing aid just last for a limited amound of time and then it has to be changed or recharged. During charging time, the hearing aid can not be used, which poses a disadvantage to the hearing aid user.

Currently, to extend the duration of the battery power, it is already proposed to use photovoltaic elements integrated onto the backside of a hearing aid. Photovoltaic elements have a degree of efficiency of about 12 %. While this is not sufficient to fully charge a battery of a hearing aid during normal use, it nevertheless supports the duration of the battery power. The problem hereby is that typical photovoltaic elements are shiny and therefore, very noticeable. This is conflictive to hearing aids, which are preferred to be invisible.

In the following a novel solution is proposed, using photovoltaic elements onto decorative elements, like earrings. Earrings are usually as shiny as photovoltaic elements. Because of that, photovoltaic elements are less noticeable on earrings. In the execution of the proposed solution, the earring has to be connected electrically with the hearing aid. This can be fulfilled by a wire or something else. Furthermore, it is possible to use the hearing aid with or without the supporting earring.
