Rack cable wiring may be extremely complicated and cluttered as shown in Fig. 1. The haphazard cabling poses a challenge to the personnel involved in troubleshooting and maintenance.

Disclosed is a method and system for implementing a networking bus bar for integrated rack cabling.

A networking bus bar may encapsulate different types of physical cables with a bus bar type structure as shown in Fig. 2.

Alternatively, the bus bar may be embedded in a printed circuit board (PCB) type structure as shown in Fig. 5.

In the strip type cable or a PCB type structure, the impedance of the networking bus bar may be effectively controlled to suit any application. Network connections may require impedances up to a range of 100 ohms with a margin of +/- 10%. In addition, the connector- to-connector mating may be controlled for impedance across the signal spectrum. The impedance of the bus bar may be controlled so that the signal frequencies are not affected by the mating of physical equipment.
