Currently fraudulent activity is detected by analyzing information entered by a customer. The information entered by the customer is checked for discrepancy and fraudulent patterns. However, the fraudulent activity is detected after a company has made some investment or processed a financial transaction for the customer. Therefore, there is a need for detecting fraudulent activity of a customer prior to making an investment or processing a transaction.

Disclosed is a method and system for detecting fraudulent activity based on customer behavior. Customers interact directly with an employee for making an application.

Alternatively, the customers may interact with a remote employee via a video conference line for making the application. In an embodiment, the customer may interact with a bank employee for making a financial application such as a mortgage loan or an insurance claim. The customer may enter the data for filling the application using a computer. A video camera can be used to record customer behavior during the

interaction and provide a video feed for analysis. The customer behavior recorded in the video feed are analyzed. Thereafter, a score is generated for the customer based on the analysis of the behavior of the customer in the video feed. The score represents a possibility for fraudulent activity.
