A method for automatic recording of web session actions when account access is initiated from a non-recognized default system.

With computer security breaches that have become common place, there are greater needs for some form of record keeping or account of legal or illegal access to user accounts on the web. What is needed is a passive security method that does not interfere with legitimate accesses to user accounts, but can be used for investigative or trace back methods in illegal access attempts.

What is proposed is that, when a user accesses a certain web site account, the entire transaction, from the perspective of the user's desktop and computer camera, is recorded and then saved in a secure, encrypted format. If there are discrepancies, than at a later time, the encrypted recording of the transaction can be opened by the rightful user and played back for analysis.

In a user's web account (for instance a bank or web shopping account), the user can set options of how they wish a recording to occur whenever there is an access to their particular account:

a) always record the desktop transaction, only.

b) always record the desktop transaction and user image

c) only record the desktop transaction when the cookie or domain is not recognized

d) only record the desktop transaction and user image when the cookie or domain is not recognized

The options are such:

desktop transaction - this is a recording, much like what existing web conference software are capable of doing. The actions that are recorded are of the user's entire desktop from the beginning of the successful access into the user's account until the user logs off.
