Abstract

The invention propose a new way to copy contents which cross multiple screens within a single document with vertical axis direcly. This could enable user to use two fingers to simultaneously select the start position and end position. When user choose the start/end position in the axis, correponding contents will be displayed in the small box nearby for user to refine the selection position. It could facilitate the copy action in the small phones.

It becomes more and more popular to view information through smart phone, such as view HTML page, view PDF document etc. But when we want to copy contents which cross multiple screens within a large document, it's not that easy to do it. This invention provides a new

way to facilitate the copy of cross screens contents in the smart phone when we are viewing large documents.

This inventions is target for those requirements that need to copy large contents which cross multiple screens on the smart phone.

When we want to copy contents which cross multiple screens within a large document, we first press the screen and hold for a certain time, then there is one menus shows up,
and there is one option called "smart copy", by clicking the "smart copy" menu, the screen of the smart phone will shows a vertical axis which starts at the top of the screen
and end at the end of the screen. This vertical axis is for the user to select the start position and the end position of the to be copied contents, we can use two fingers to
simultaneously select the start position and end position. This axis maps to the whole documents which might contains multiple screens. When our fingers are touching on the
screen, the related contents corresponding to the position that user touched on the axis will be displayed accordingly, and user can refine the content selection in the related
contents that displayed by dragging the selected content, cause in the axis...
