Instant messaging is a mission-critical tool for communication within enterprises. Most modern instant messaging applications allow individuals to hold instant messaging meetings with two or more individuals. Further, many instant messaging applications allow users to save chat transcripts of these meetings. Unfortunately, in the current art, for those who participate in many instant messaging meetings, being able to go back and find an instant messaging transcript of meeting amongst a plurality of meetings is a laborious task, as the naming of such transcripts is usually cryptic (e.g., just including the date and time of the chat).

The proposed invention makes it easier for the user to find previous instant messaging transcripts of meetings amongst a plurality of meeting transcripts by linking instant messaging meeting transcripts to calendar entries.

Implementation:

The proposed invention is enabled as follows:

Initiate instant messaging meeting as the current art allows

Determine who are the instant messaging meeting participants of the instant
