Method and System for Indicating Status of a Web Conference

Disclosed is a method and system for indicating status of a web conference in an invitation sent to a participant. The method and system uses a link to the web conference in an email or a calendar invite as an indicator of the status of the web conference. Participants are visually informed about the status of the web conference by looking at the link.

In an exemplary implementation, the link to the web conference may change color based on the current status of the web conference . An exemplary color scheme and

the corresponding status of the web conference are illustrated in fig . 1.

Accordingly, an email or calendar invite with such a link is sent to all the participants of \the web conference. Fig.2 illustrates such an invite.

As illustrated in fig.2, the color scheme for the link is black which indicates the web conference has not yet started.

Moving on, when the web conference begins, the link to the web conference changes its color to green as illustrated in fig. 3.

In another exemplary implementation, a button may be provided next to the link to the

web conference to enable a participant to poll the status of the web conference . Fig. 4 illustrates the button for polling the status of the web conference . For example, a user may press the button to poll the status of the web conference . In response, the link to the web conference changes its color to red...
