IMPROVED QUALITYTHROUGH THE USE OF DESIGNREVIEW
During this discussion I plan to share how we at M. W. Kellogg have integrated Intergraph's DesignReview terminal and software in our every day work process for all PDS-3Dprojects.
DesignReviewdeveloped by Intergraph is an integral part of the PDS-3D softwarepackages available to the users.
product DesignReviewmust be properly utilized and integrated into PDS-3D work processes in order t o get the desired results.
DesignReviewis the window through which seniordesign personnel can view the PDS-30 model as it is being developed to ensure that the product meets good engineering practices.
Since integrating the use of DesignReview into our PDS-3Dwork processes we have improved the quality of our product and reduced both Engineering and Construction rework significantly.

RECENT PDS-3D PROJECT DATA
Here we share some of the data for a recently completed PDS-3D project to show the audience that DesignReview can be utilized on very large projects.
130 miles of pipe, 50,000 cubic yards of concrete,2,100 tons of structural steel,10,500 Instruments, 400 miles o f Electrical cable,
10,500 instruments,10,000 piping isometrics,28,000 electronic spool drawings and utilized over 9 million blocks of disk space.

Here we present data regarding the configuration of the DesignReview terminals we uti1ize. We uti1 ize seven Intergraph 6080 series DesignReview terminal with C300 Clipper chips,80 Megabytes of memory and are presently using version 3.0 of the DesignReview software.

On this slidewe share our experience regarding the size of the DesignReview model. We try to limit the size of our review models t o a maximum of 200 K blocks and often sub-divideour projects to ensure the we keep the response (update) time to a minimum.
We also keep dual copies of each model available in order that multiple technologies can review a model at the same time.

This slide shows our managements commitment to the application of DesignReview to ensure that our clients gain the maximum benefit from PDS-3D.
To ensure that the application of DesignReview was successful a DesignReview support team of two designers along with one computer development person was assembled to learn the system,develop application procedures and integrate it into our everyday PDS-3Dwork processes.
First they had to learn how to utilize the system. They developed a training manual including a one page help sheet (as shown on slide # 11 that shows the user all of the comnands and brief...
