Method and System for Real-time Monitoring of Vibration during Shipment of Server Computer

Disclosed is a method and system for real-time monitoring of vibration during shipment of a server computer. The real-time monitoring of vibrations during shipment enables a shipment carrier to take corrective actions for avoiding any damages to the server computer.

Figure discloses a block diagram of the system disclosed herein.

The system includes a plurality of sensors 101 (such as MEMS sensors) for capturing shock and vibration events in real-time during the transit. Plurality of sensors 101 may also include thermal sensor to detect real time freeze events. Plurality of sensor 101 are strategically placed a server computer 108 during transit so as to precisely capture shock and vibrations around server computer 108. The system also includes a software application configured to collect data associated with the shock and vibration events from plurality of sensors 101. Thereafter, the data is processed using an Analog-to-Digital converter 102. The processed data is then provided to a computing device 103 (such as a laptop) which is communicatively connected to server computer 108. Computing device 103 performs analysis of the processed data to determine the problems being faced during shipment.

Computing device 103 is also communicatively connected to a hotspot modem 104. Hotspot modem 104 connects computing device 103 to internet via available hot spot
