Disclosed is a method and system for allowing a participant to pre -define preferences for content of interest in a conference call . For example, the participant can set in advance the types of content the participant wishes to listen to as audio during the conference call.
The preferences can be defined by the participant before or during the conference call . The participant can pre-define preferences for specific content , specific speaker, etc. The specific content may include subject matter , particular time of slot in an agenda of the conference call etc. For instance, organizational information can be used for setting preferences. The preferences of the participant can be defined as a generic set for all conference calls. Alternatively, specific set of preferences can be defined for a particular conference call.
The preferences of the participant can also be identified in real -time during the conference call. Alternatively, the preferences of the participant can be inferred in one or more conference calls using analytics. Before modifying the preferences of the participant based on analytics, a notification is sent to the participant for confirmation . Further, the preferences of participant can be manually or automatically overridden anytime. For instance, the preferences can be automatically overridden for an event of a newly introduced speaker or topic.
