NECESSARY IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING CURRICULUM

DA;E: 14 March 1978

On his last visit to the Laboratory on 8 March 1978, Professor Pigford asked me to consider giving a lecture on the necessity of chemical education for a Chemical Engineer. This would be a general type lecture in which I would illustrate the subject through my personal history, starting as a chemist and exper- iencing inside Pullman Kellogg a varied and rich exposure to all facets of engineering. I am thinking of use of the complicated and published studies on Kel-Chlor to further pr6ve the advantages of the interplay between chemical engin- eering and chemistry.

~I .q~,~,~ Permission to give this lecture is hereby requested. ~ ~/~
