Automated Evidence Based Groups for Online Social Networks

Online social networks are a universal mechanism to connect people and information in logical and organized ways, which enables sharing of information between the members. These online social networks enable one to manage relations and organize people into groups or sub social networks.

There is a need to automate the formation of groups for online social networks. The invention optimizes the forming of online social networks, by:

 Establishing a preferred evidence for a group

 Analyzing a social network membership and contents

 Determining a piece of content associated with a user's likelihood of being associated with a content

 Associating a user to an evidence group

The invention establishes a creator's evidence (e.g., reader, author, editor). A second evidence can be applied to a group. It is also possible the invention to only use evidence of a set threshold level. To expire old associative evidence, a logarithmic progression is used. The invention is akin to developing a training set via active stream, testing the test set via the preferred evidence. It is not limited to content from the online social networks, it may also use content other applications. Further, it may be used to manage group management.
