Abstract

Provides means of transferring data and/or power from an Ethernet device mounted on a door to the building network. The transfer hinge could have R145, IDC, or any other suitable terminations on the hinge. Most electrical transfer hinges are designed for power transfer (18, 22, or 24 AWG wires) or signal transfer (28 AWG wire) and offer un-terminated wires as the point of connection. This product will specifically support Ethernet-enabled devices, including Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) door hardware and will offer terminations designed to function with Category-rated solid-conductor cables.
