Abstract

More and more people utilize their travel time (such as taking subway or bus) for learning purpose, but the fragmentary learning experience is not good and not well-organized. This disclosures discloses an intelligent education system (IES) can be used to facilitate people to manage the travel time for education. When people take subway, bus, train, plane or other public travel vehicles, they can use their mobile/tablet or etc to access provided network from the IES. IES will automatically calculate the duration on the way by locating the current location and the provided destination/stored travel history. According to the user's input about pre-defined topic about curriculum, system will automatically recommend some courses including video, audio, text, pictures, flashes or etc. The course resources are Duration-Oriented Assembled, and can be dynamically assembled into different length to provide a complete class in available duration with no break. So people can take recommended courses during the available duration via IES in an ORGANIZED and SYSTEMATIC way.

In current world, people live in the society with fast pace. Especially for the working men/women besides students, they have limited time to relax but have requirement for further study.

User Case 1:

Tom wants to study traditional Chinese medical Science during his spare time. But his home is far from the company, everyday he will spend 3 hours in total on the way including subway and buses, so he nearly has no spare time on the working days. In the weekend, he wants to do some sports and rest, and don't have the time for the whole or half day out to take lessons. He feels he wastes the big block of time spent on the way between home and office, and he is thinking whether he can use his time on the way every day for some learning.

User Case 2:

Lily spends the travel time back from work to learn Java programming on the subway everyday. But she finds she spend 3/4 of the travel to find proper study materials by doing search on her smart phone. She hopes there can be some recommended classes everyday so she can save the searching time.

User Case 3:

Susan is a high school student and very busy in studying everyday. She utilizes her way to school to learn English. She studies English via audio and video. She ever missed the destination to get down bus in time since she was focusing on study. So when she learns on her tablet, she often looks around to check

whether the target stop is arriving. And her study is constantly disrupted by surrounding environment such as crowd, broadcast when pulling in station, etc.

People don't have enough time in the evening back from work/school or don't plan the whole/half day event to take lessons in the weekend; in the spare time, they may want to have a good rest, together with family, to do some sports, to arrange party with friends, or etc. If they can utilize their travel time(such as taking subway or bus) which is scattered and incoherent in nature to have lessons or learning in high efficiency without spending too much time on searching

internet, this will help them a lot and can save their consecutive spare time.
