Abstract

This disclosure reveals a technique of simultaneously broadcasting 2 or more live sports games, which take place during the same time period, on a single displaying device. The technique enables an automatic switching between the 2 sources, based on the prediction of the happening of the clutch moments in the games. Our invention makes use of the whole screen for broadcasting of each sports game, rather than taking the traditional approaches in which the screen is split into a number of small sub-views. By adopting this technique, the user can watch 2 or more simultaneous live games at once, with a satisfactory viewing experience.

Background

It often happens that 2 or more sports games are being played at the same time. These games can be quite attention-drawing and the user may want to watch all the game.

A possible solution that addresses such a requirement might be to multiple TV sets, one for each game. However, this could be quite distracting for the spectator. On the other hand, an alternative way could be based on a single TV set, where one of the games is displayed in full screen, while other games are

displayed in small sub-views that are overlaid on the main view. But it's quite obvious that by this approach, the spectator cannot really watch the games displayed in the sub-views clearly.

Therefore, there is a need for a technology that both let the user watch each game in a clear way and does not distract the user as well.

Our invention

With such considerations, our invention proposes to a solution for simultaneously broadcasting 2 or more live sports games, which take place during the same

time period, on a single displaying device.

Our method contains the following components:


1) A method to predict the happening of a clutch moment in a sports game.


2) Based on the predict, a system and method to dynamically switch among multiple sources of sports games is presented.

These components together comprise a solution for simultaneously broadcasting 2 or more live sports games on a single displaying device. The following few paragraphs discusses these components in more details.
