Method and System for Automating Processes in Traditional Circuit Based Services Using Web Based Solutions

Disclosed is a method and system for automating processes in traditional circuit based services of telecom industry by using web based solutions. The web based solutions may be, but not limited to, a web browser based interface and a Graphical User Interface (GUI). The automating processes include defining topology of a network service for purchase using the GUI by a customer as shown in Figures 1 and 2. For example, a customer may be provided with a set of available services which can be availed using a GUI.

An ordering of the network service for purchase by the customer is also made using the GUI as shown in the Figure 2. For example, the customer may use a drag and drop feature of the GUI to select the network service based on the requirement. An instant quote may be generated after the selection of the network service. The system may instantly deploy the network service selected by the customer. A web server then automatically configures a network switch required for the network service selected by the customer. Subsequently, the network service will be provisioned by a provisioning

server. Upon provisioning the network service, the network service is made available to the customer. A range of devices required for providing the network service are accordingly provisioned.
