Abstract

Present invention provides a system/apparatus that could help user reach interested web page spot with one step only. It provides users several access portals to the web site, even the same web page may have several access portals, which improves the web access efficiency and mitigates the Homepage access load. Each HTML web page is divided into html chunks by portal tags. The content enclosed by portal tags should be able to display fully on one mobile phone screen, portal tag will zoom in/out the content view automatically to make it all in one screen if the portal content is too small/large to fit in the mobile phone screen size.The system apprehends and filters the most interested html segment by monitoring the think time on the html segment. The segment that costs the most think time will be retained temporarily. And only a small set of critical html segments will be finally retained as the destination portals for web page access. Present invention enables user the capacity of easily switching back/forward to the desired web page or the desired segment/section on the same page by simply sliding through a few of web page portals and clicking on the desired one.

One issue with prior art is that if the user has interest in a specific spot on the web page, the user has to run through the web site Homepage first and then route to his/her interest spot. The user may need to go through several pages, clicking on tabs or several links and then scrolling to the desired spot, which goes the long way around and inefficient for user web page access, especially for mobile phone users since navigating the internet with mobile phone is relatively difficult and expensive.

Another issue with prior art is that switching back and forth among a plurality of web pages if often difficult and clumsy on small screen devices like cellphone. Even the user manages to get back/forward to the desired web page with the arrows on web browser, it costs time to pinpoint the user interested section on cellphone screen, the users may have to sliding through several screens to reach the interest portion. Further, the back/forward arrows on browser are less useful in navigating between web pages that were visited in a early web browsing session.

Further problem with prior art is that the data of the web pages that visited in the same browsing session is stored in cookie and cache, and all the web pages need to stay open to achieve the switching/navigation. This traditional way consumes the memory of cellphone a lot.

According to one embodiment of current invention, the system provides users several access portals to the web site, even the same web page may have several access portals, which improves the web access efficiency and mitigates the Homepage access load.Present invention enables users the capacity of direct accessing thedestination section/segment using Destination Portals. It skips the intermediate steps from launching home page to sliding to the destination segment, and leads users to the destination with one step only. The obvious advantage of this embodiment is that it improves the web page access efficiency, mitigates the server access load and saves internet surfing cost, especially for mobile phone users.
