Auto resend email with comments if expected response is not received and facilitate tracking of ecpected email responses

Users often send emails requesting information and expecting a reply . When a sender expects/requests a reply, the sender must monitor the email inbox for that reply . If a reply is not received in an adequate period, then the sender must resend the email as a reminder to the recipient. This manual monitoring of expected email responses is not only time consuming, but also causes the loss of items that need to be tracked or slow responses. In addition, there is no automated way to easily track which responses remain outstanding.

The novel solution is a feature that facilitates the automatic sending of a follow -up email for an email that was sent, but for which the sender received no response.

When a sender executes an email , or shortly thereafter, the system presents an option for the sending of a subsequent automated email at a date and time , designated by the sender, if a response is expected and not received. The email system monitors emails and determines if a response to requested action has been fulfilled . If the email system determines that a response is still expected, it automatically generates an email indicating that a response is needed. The text of the message can optionally override the default system message text. This email reminds the recipient(s) that a response

was expected and not received.
