Abstract

Use a pair of relay device to form a crossover interlock mechanism to prohibit two different types of chemical gas mixed in pipe line and reactor. In addition there are a pressure stability check circuit and pressure sensing device (such as pressure switcher) which monitor the pipe line pressure whenever there is no chemical in use. If the pressure in pipe line stays below setpoint steadily while no chemical in use, it sends ready signal to MC and conducts interlock to the chemical enable signals. The new design ensures 1) no two different chemical gases can be turned ON at any time; 2) before switching to the other type of gas, the pipe line must be clean (the pressure must be below the set point steadily); 3) there are status feedback signals to Module Computer for control reference.

What problem does the invention solve

Describe the existing solutions and their drawbacks

-Use solenoid to switch the ON/OFF of two different types of chemical gases by means of N.O. Pneumatic valve on one type of chemical gas and N.C. Pneumatic valve on the other type of chemical gas simultaneously. The problems with such design are 1) there is residue chemical gas in the pipe and reactor at the time switching to the other chemical gas; 2) the two different type of the chemical gas may be turned on momentary due to the turn-on and turn-off delay time; 3) the pipe line is conducted all the time.
