Abstract

Existing HV earthing switch contact claim foce is provided by spring attached on contact system or provided by self-power from contact system. Original design has a complex constructure and not convenient to adjust. In our new design we provide the contact force by cut a slot in the earthing switch arm,use the earthing switch arm self-force to provide contact force. It‘s much cheaper and simple and we can add an auxiliary spring to exsure the contact force of contact system.

Earth switch contact design

In this solution, we cut a groove in aluminum square pipe, and assemble four small pieces of Cu contact on it, use the aluminum self- force to provide claim force, it’s very cheaper and simple, and we can add a auxiliary spring directly to endure big current peak and short time current.
