Disclosed is a system that identifies and suggests one or more communication applications for communication among users. The system enables a user to select an appropriate communication application for a communication session. The system suggests a communication application for a communication session based on the content of the communication session, and a context of the communication session. The system also assists the user to appropriately format the content of the communication session based on the communication application chosen for the communication session.

Consider a scenario wherein a user wishes to send a message/content to one or more recipients using a communication application. It may happen that the one or more recipients may be using different communication applications. In such cases, the message/content may not get appropriately delivered to the one or more recipients. The system disclosed herein enables the users to avoid such situations by suggestion one or more communication applications which are most appropriate for the communication session. The system takes into account a context of the communication and the one or more recipients for suggesting a communication application for the communication session. Further, the system also takes into account the users' history/usage of various communication applications, the action and its context to suggest the appropriate communication application the user can use.

In one instance, the system suggests the user to use the communication application for sending the message. The system monitors actions of the user and also context of the action such as sharing a photo using parameters such as but not limited to temporary sharing, album, public or private sharing with one or more recipients.
