Abstract

Enterprise Master Langauge Repository serves as a central repository to manage, govern, analyze Language Artifacts to provide a Unified, common and consistent Integration and automation platform in an IT landscape. The Master Language subsets can be exposed to various entities based on access privileges over systems and functions.

Approach for achieving and managing an Enterprise Master Language (EML)

IT landscape of an enterprise comprises of many heterogeneous products with each having

disparate set of interfaces and programming models. The customizations and adaptation for

each of these products means undergoing a learning curve for Technical Users.

The approach proposes to have a global language for an enterprise which can be derived and then customized from standard product language adapters. The adapters act as Language

Bridge and interface to outside world for all the communications.

Global Enterprise Master Language (EML) for the basis of this invention. The system and management of Enterprise Language Artifacts enables internal and external users leverage a common platform to configure/build applications for disparate systems. The learning curve is drastically reduced as new products does not mean new language or constructs. The sub set lanugage exposed to customers would mean quick turn around time for some of the feedback channels like emails from customer which at the moment needs human intervention.

The approach proposes to have a global language for an enterprise which can be derived and then customized from standard product language adapters. The adapters act as Language

Bridge and interface to outside world for all the communications.

The adapters for a product is domain aligned but can further be extended to enterprise own lingo in conjugation with Business Glossary services.

BRMS packages can be the obvious choice for integrating desperate programming models due to their ability to model languages which are closer to Human Languages like English, French etc.

The language constructs becomes the key asset of an enterprise and must be managed and maintained collaboratively. Any disconnect between various language constructs may lead to inconsistent behavior or application failing to communicate.

These language constructs must be managed centrally in an MDM application which provides infrastructure to manage it collaboratively among various stakeholders. In this case the most probable stake holders would be product experts.
