Abstract

Textile staining caused by cosmetic products containing AP/Deo actives based on aluminium salts like aluminium chlorohydrate can be significantly reduced by use of citric acid esters of ethoxylated fatty alcohols. Preferred esters are mono esters of citric acid with ethoxylated fatty alkohols containing up to 20 units of ethylene oxide and alkyl chains from C8 to C22. Especially preferred is the use of mono citric acid ester of C12/18-fatty alcohol containing 7 moles of ethylene oxide, realized in the product Plantapon® LC 7.
