Abstract

As computer product and mobile device gain ground, more and more people used them in life and work. Sometimes we may have to share a computer with our family, or collaborate with others, and mostly we do different things on computer vary from time to time, or place to place. At such times problems emerged, such as how to restore working state quickly and correctly for different people, how to share the working state with others and how to quickly switch among different working state. To resolve these problems, this innovation provides a method to keep and restore applications state. Individuals can switch among his different working states easily and quickly, while teams can collaborate with each other only by sharing a common working state. Altogether, this method is valuable not only in optimizing the user experience, but also saving time and energy; what's more, it can be widely used in desktop computer and mobile device.

As computer product and mobile device gain ground, more and more people used them in life and work. Sometimes we may have to share a computer with our family, or collaborate with others, and mostly we do different things on computer vary from time to time, or place to place. At such times, some problems emerged, such as how to restore working state for different people, how to share the working state with others and how to quickly switch among different working state.

Just through below scenario you can understand how annoying they are. If I want to switch my computer from work to entertainment, I need to close all of the applications that related to work to release the computer resources, the CPU and the memory, etc. and to open applications for entertainment. However, when I try to switch back to the work, conversely I have to close things related to entertainment and open applications for work. Just imagine finding files and applications everywhere, and thinking of the state, it is time consuming and labor intensive process, what's worse, I may have to repeat these annoying things many times a day vary from time to time, or place to place.

To resolve this problem, this innovation provides a method to keep and restore applications state. It can help users quickly and correctly restore the computer to the last snapshot and collaborate with others more easily.

For better understanding the innovation, we define:

'Profile' is the name for a group of applications with their status.

'To create a profile' means to add applications and their status as a group.

'To open a profile' means to restore each application's state in the group and open all of them.

'To close a profile' means to record each application's status in the group and close all of them.

'To switch among profiles' means to close the old and open the new profile.

In the following sections we will give a detail description about this innovation .

This innovation describes a method to save and recover the snapshot of computer or mobile device. It can be applied to the following scenarios:

It is valuable for individuals and teams, not only in optimizing the user experience, but also saving time and resource.
