Abstract

A method and system for performing activities with advertisements is disclosed.  The method and system allows a user to perform one or more activities with an advertisement that is presented to the user.  Thereafter, the user may be rewarded based on activities performed with the advertisement.

Description

Disclosed is a method and system for performing activities with advertisements.  Advertisements are usually presented to a user through one or more ways such as television, internet, radio broadcast and mobile phones.  The method and system allows a user to perform one or more activities with an advertisement.  The one or more activities may correspond to one or more of, but is not limited to, collecting the advertisement selected by the user in an advertisement collecting box, sharing the advertisement with other users and voting for the advertisement.    Based on the one or more activities performed with the advertisement, the user may receive a reward from either the advertiser or the publisher of the advertisement.

In an exemplary scenario, an advertiser may reward the user based on one or more factors.  The one or more factors may correspond to one or more of, but are not limited to, collecting number of similar advertisements, collecting advertisements from a common advertiser and collecting advertisements from a common publisher.  The one or more factors may also correspond to collecting specific advertisements from specific advertisers and publishers.

In an embodiment, the user may select the advertisement and then share the advertisement with other users.  Thereafter, the user may be rewarded if the advertisement is effective under some conditions.  For example, if the user shares the advertisement that is related to a deal which is active for a limited period of time then the user may be rewarded by the company offering the deal.  The user may then share the reward with the other users who shared the advertisement.  Additionally, spam protection may also be provided to the user, when the user shares multiple advertisements with other users, in order to encourage sharing of advertisements.
