Also disclosed are bulk compostion containing the flakes, e.g. detergent compositions, and packets containnig the combination of flakes and bulk compostion, e.g. for use in unit does delivery.

WATER SOLUBLE FILM FLAKE INCORPORATING FUNCTIONAL INGREDIENTS, COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING SAME, AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
Field of the disclosure
 The present disclosure relates generally to water-soluble compositions useful for delivering functional ingredients, including enzymes. More particularly, the disclosure relates to particularly defined water soluble film flakes containing one or more functional ingredients, and related compositions containing such flakes, wherein the related compositions can be powders, liquids, or gels, for example, and wherein the combinations may be used, for example, as detergents.
 Water-soluble films are well known in the art. Wfater-soluble films have many applications, such as packaging materials, wherein the film itself can make up a water soluble packet. These compositions have the advantage that they are easy to dose, handle, transport and store.
 Water-soluble packets are well suited for single dose applications wherein the packet encloses a laundry detergent, bleach or other laundry additives, fabric care, dishwashing, hard surface cleaning, beauty care, skin care, other personal care, or food product compositions. In such applications and others, it is important that water-soluble film components completely dissolve, for example in wash water, leaving no residue.
 A detergent article including an enzyme disposed in a water-soluble film carrier has previously been described.
 Functionalized films (which can contain various ingredients, including enzymes) which are cut into confetti-like pieces and incorporated into powder, liquid, or gel compositions (including detergents), have previously been disclosed.
 One aspect of the disclosure provides a plurality of water-soluble film flakes, the flakes including a water-soluble mixture of a water-soluble resin and a functional component, e.g. an enzyme. 70

 In embodiments, it is contemplated that the film can have a flexural rigidity of at least about 2 X 10-5 N(mm)2, or at least about 4 X 10-5 N(mm)2, or at least about 8 X 10-5 N(mm)2, or at least about 16 X 10-5 N(mm)2.
 In embodiments, it is contemplated that the water-soluble flakes can have an average thickness of 300 microns or less, or 150 microns or less, or 75 microns or less.
 In embodiments, it is contemplated that the water-soluble film flakes can have an average thickness of at least 10 microns, or at least about 25 microns, or at least about 50 microns or more.
 In embodiments, it is contemplated that the water-soluble film flakes can have an average thickness in a range of about 10 microns to about 300 microns, or in a range of about 25 microns to about 15 microns, or in a range of about 50 microns to 75 microns, for example about 55 microns, or 60 microns or 65 microns, or 70 microns.
