Abstract

The invention provides a technique to maintain low height of a radiographic patient support in an X-ray system. The radiographic patient support device is based on a modular design. Interface between the modules is simple and does not require adjustment. The technique optimizes tabletop support mechanism such that floating range is smaller and adapts to a smaller room. The tabletop floating mechanism is compact design and allows low height of the table. A special design for emergency button avoids any mis trigger. The Inhibition button is designed to detect the tabletop position to actuate brake to inhibit misuse and avoid injury.

FIELD OF INVENTION

The invention generally relates to an X-ray system and more particularly to a tabletop floating mechanism device for the X-ray system.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION


Generally, a fixed radiographic table is utilized for an X-ray system. Most of Fixed radiographic tables are not easy for assembly and service. Usually, a service or manufacture person have to disassemble other parts before replacing failure part. A foot Pedal assembly in the fixed radiographic table requires lot of adjustment and rework for assembly process. The fixed radiographic table is not compact and difficult to position a patient and other accessory. The fixed table does not adapt to smaller room space to fulfill more customer requirements. Further, a telescopic cover usually will have stuck problem. A patient or operator may trigger an emergency stop button by accident. Even the button is configured in a recessed place in the fixed table. This has impact on safety and efficiency of the table. All these are problems of the fixed radiographic table exist on the market.


A conventional technology or design includes a complex integrated design for elevation and floating mechanism. However, the conventional technology or design requires more space or bigger footprint to be installed. Hence there exists a need for an efficient design or technology that provides a patient table design that occupies lesser space.

Interface between the modules is simple and does not require adjustment. By optimization of a tabletop support mechanism a floating range is smaller and adapt to a smaller room. The technique includes tabletop floating mechanism which provides compact design and allows low height of the table. A special design for an emergency button avoids any mis-trigger. The patient support device is designed to detect the tabletop position and actuate brake to inhibit misuse and avoid injury.
