Abstract

A method and system is disclosed for suggesting new events upon a change in a current event.  The method and system monitors status of the current event and suggests a set of new events to a user when the user either cancels or change status of the current event.

Description

Disclosed is a method and system for suggesting new events upon a change in a current event.  The method and system suggests new events to a user when the user changes an existing event or an appointment.  Here, the new events are suggested in form of advertisements.

The system utilizes an advertisement (ad) system, wherein the ad system renders advertisements related to, but not limited to, a restaurant or a movie.  The advertisement system is triggered by a change in status of the current event.  If the user changes a status or cancels the current event, then the system communicates with the advertisement system to provide some advertisements to the user.  After providing the advertisements, the user selects an advertisement and an appropriate venue as a next event.  The method and system enables the user to select the next event in such a manner that participants of a previous cancelled event are still able to meet each other at a different place.  After selecting the next event, the system sends a notification for the advertisement and the venue to the participants.
