Abstract

This disclosure is about providing a better weld design for swing bearing base plate. This design reduce stress around the base plate and also replace the parts those do not have proper nesting quality and manufacturability. This design also reduces weight of machine. Most of the swinging equipment has central weldment section. This weldment section is major load carrying member for whole upper super structure. The upper super structure includes a body frame and a bottom plate and the dig components that make the upper swing structure.

Description:

This disclosure relates to welding design for swing bearing base plate for swinging vehicles. These swinging vehicles have swing bearing and base plate which acts as major load carrying member for upper structure.

This swing base plate is extended curvilinear at the two corners to get relief and equally distribution of stress on plate. As shown in fig.1 the bottom I section plate is directly butted to swing base plate extension profile by welding or fastening means.

This design has full round profile and extended portion at the two corners. It reduces edge and weld stress. In additional to that, one can save lot of material scrap in lower bottom plate.

Alternatively, lower bottom plate can also have similar round profile. This round profile can be attached with base plate with the help of weldment. Anot...
