Abstract

Disclosed is a straight docking mechanism of adaptor riser card on a rotary tray. The design of the rotary tray is an intuitive and simple design to insert a cage or card into a box system with the advantage of maintenance and serving without detaching itself. Though, there are configurations with adaptor riser cards mounted on the rotary tray observe the damaged pins or electric short hazard in the slot connectors on mother chassis, which the later should accept riser docked vertically.

Rotary tray design is an intuitive and simple design to insert a cage or card into a box system with the advantage of maintenance and serving without detaching itself.

Though, there are configurations with adaptor riser cards mounted on the rotary tray observe the damaged pins or electric short hazard in the slot connectors on mother chassis, which the later should accept riser docked vertically.

The rotary tray design, functioning as a server chassis expansion, provides the

advantage of maintenance and serving to the parts on mother chassis without detaching itself.

This mechanism provides a rotary movement of the expansion tray and ensures its attachment/detachment from mother chassis in a vertical displacement. With the mechanism, the adaptor riser card can dock to slot connector without the risk of pin damaging from rotary docking.
