The Management Self-Assessment of Controls (MSAC) Integrated Reporting Application (MIRA) provides an integrated environment for planning, executing, and analyzing the quarterly Management Self-Assessment of Controls (MSAC) mandated by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). It automatically extracts and consolidates relevant data from corporate trusted source systems into an interactive exceptions-oriented assessment presentation format providing drill-down, drill-through, and in-situ data capture/linkage capabilities designed to ensure complete coverage of all assessment consideration topics.

The MIRA application is designed to radically simplify and streamline the quarterly MSAC process by reducing the time, effort, and human resources required to plan, prepare, aggregate, format, reconcile, review, analyze, and archive MSAC ratings, assessment presentations, and supporting evidences.

The described system offers the novel contributions of a user-determined planning/calendar integration capability and a user-defined reporting group dynamic roll-up capability.

Planning is supported by a set of automatically integrated calendars that graphically display activities, milestones, and events for each quarter, providing overall visibility to the plan as well as to specific constituency views of the plan. Each calendar entry permits the user to target the entry to one or more additional calendars.
