Method and System for Transferring Layered Data of a Document (Plan) into Multiple Display Devices

Disclosed is a method and system for transferring layered data of a document (plan) into multiple display devices. The method and system allows transfer of one or more layers of data of a plan to multiple display devices and consolidate back to master plan upon respective modifications and updates by users/engineers. The layered data of a plan can be such as, but not limited to, floor layout of a building consisting of structural plan diagram, electrical wiring diagram, water pipe diagram, gas pipe diagram. Display devices can be such as, but not limited to, touch sensitive devices.

In accordance with the method and system, a master plan is structured into different layers and is named appropriately depending on respective domains each layer belongs to. The structured master plan is then opened in a touch sensitive device that allows transfer of structured layers of the plan to multiple touch sensitive devices as shown in the figure.

Once the touch sensitive device detects a user performing a gesture on the display screen, the method and system displays names of layers that are assigned while creating the layers. The touch sensitive device also displays names of one or more users who are involved in developing the complete master plan and detects corresponding devices using a wireless technology. Thereafter, the user is allowed to
