Method and System for Providing Identity (ID) Management using Mobile Devices

Disclosed is a method and system for providing identity (ID) management using mobile devices.

The method and system provides one or more soft tokens for secure authentication of a user in an outsourced agreement or a managed environment. Content corresponding to the one or more soft tokens is placed in collaborative environments such as for example, servers. Authorized end users can access the content via mobile devices such as, but not limited to, smart phone, tablet, PDA, laptop and a personal Computer. Devices access the content placed in the collaborative environments using software products and web applications. The method and system particularly provides two benefits by placing the data in collaborative environments, such as, downloading and enabling a company in any outsourced agreement to easily onboard resources and creating a repository for a soft token such that the outsourced/managing company resources are able to easily download and install soft tokens for virtual private network (VPN) secured access to support user's device environment.

In accordance with the method and system, as shown in the figure content is placed in the collaborative environment (resources/servers). Content related to the one or more soft tokens is placed and managed by a content manager. Application data related to the one or more soft tokens resides on backend database (DB) servers.
