    (1R, 2S)-2-(3, 4-difluorophenyl) cyclopropanamine hydrochloride, referred as Compound 1, has the following chemical structure:

(1R, 2R)-2-(3, 4-difluorophenyl) cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid, referred to as Compound 2 is an intermediate in the preparation of Compound 1. Compound 2 has the following chemical structure:

Samples of Compound 2 were prepared by the process described in example 1, and were analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction ("XRPD") to provide a crystalline form. Figure 1 presents the XRPD of the obtained form.

32.5; 33.2; 34.6; 35.9; 36.5; 36.9; 37.8; 38.0; 38.5; 39.0; 39.5 and 39.9 degrees two theta ± 0.2 degrees 2-theta.

X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRPD) method:

X-ray powder diffraction was performed on X-Ray powder diffractometer:
Bruker D8 Advance; CuK_ radiation (λ = 1.5418 Å); Lynx eye detector; laboratory temperature 22-25 °C; PMMA specimen holder ring. Prior to analysis, the samples were gently ground by means of mortar and pestle in order to obtain a fine powder.
