Method for school buses to alert nearby drivers to stop

School buses have a stop sign that comes out and lights that flash, but many people do not notice these or do not realize they should stop and drive around the buses when they should be stopping

When the school bus driver hits the "I'm about to stop and let people out" button, the bus will send out a specific signal.

1. The bus would have a light on the front, back and sides that sends out a specific signal (for example, flashing at a specific frequency). Surrounding cars would all have light sensors that detect this signal and sound an audible or flash a visual alert that a school bus is stopping nearby and the driver should also stop their vehicle if necessary. Multiple input sensors in the car would help the car to tell distance and direction of the stopping school bus to help determine if and when the driver needs to stop.

2. The bus would send out a digital signal that would be received by the surrounding cars. This could include GPS coordinates and vector of the bus. The surrounding cars would detect this signal and sound an audible alert or flash a visual alert that a school bus is stopping nearby and that the driver should also stop their vehicle if necessary.
