Following article is describing functionality of cross-application OS daemon, which will provide the application (like mailbox etc) with all links which fits to keywords pattern and validate links included in the email/text document.

Many times while sending the emails, we are putting some links in its content, i.e. links to databases, documents stored in internal corporation dbs, tasks in web-based dev environment (like Eclipse) or web sites. Every time ones wants to include link into the text, he needs to have the database open to be able to copy the link. Looking for link ones is looking for is time-consuming (especially when databases are big and located in different part of world).
Following article is addressing this issue by functionality of cross-application OS daemon, which will provide the application (like mailbox etc) with all links which fits to
keywords pattern and validate links included in the email.
Summary and advantages
Proposed functionality consists from following parts:
functionality of links database stored in easy 'querable' form
functionality of OS daemon which will feed the database with new links and keywords assigned to them
functionality of API which will provide the application with the links set in response
to keywords set provided by application.
functionality of providing the links set by end application within additional,
dedicated window or within right-click menu
functionality of links validation (based on email context application is validating
the correctness of links used against existing links history database and keywords assigned)
Above functionality can be limited to a built-in feature of particular application for security reason.
Benefits of such solution are:
improved usability of mailboxes and office-type software
shorter time spent on looking for links to paste
