Abstract

The invention provides a technique to simplify workflow and improve communication with a patient and a doctor remotely in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system. The technique includes a google glass, which is utilized by an operator during scan setting. The operator wears the google glass to perform effective or correct scan. A patient also wears the google glass for display scan information such as bore project. The google glass is a wireless information indicator, with integrated camera and voice control.

FIELD OF INVENTION

The invention generally relates to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system and more particularly to a technique to simplify workflow and improve communication with a patient and a doctor remotely in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system includes a workflow, which is complex and cumbersome for a user to perform. Some of steps in workflow include acquiring a patient identification (ID), acquiring information from hospital database, positioning patient on a MR table, confirming scanning position, input scan parameters, starting scan and performing effective or correct scan.

A conventional technique includes an ultra wide band wireless transmission in a MRI system with channel estimation. However, the conventional technique is not efficient for transmitting information.

Hence there exists a need for an efficient technique for wireless transmission of information in MRI system.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention provides a technique to simplify workflow and improve communication with a patient and a doctor remotely in a MRI system. The technique includes a google glass, which is utilized by an operator during scan setting. The operator wears the google glass to perform effective or correct scan.

The technique includes a google glass, which is utilized by an operator during scan setting. The operator wears the google glass to perform effective or correct scan. A patient also wears the google glass for displayed scan information such as bore project. The google glass is a wireless information indicator, with integrated camera and voice control.
