Description

Disclosed is a method for preventing shoulder surfing by detecting a pair of eyes of one or more unauthorized users who are viewing a screen of a device of the user.  A camera fitted on the device assists in detecting the pair of eyes.  Upon detecting the unauthorized pair of eyes, content displayed on the screen is rendered to be unreadable by the unauthorized pair of eyes.

In accordance with the method, an application is installed on a device of a user.  The application detects a camera associated with the device.  The application is invoked when secure content is displayed on the device of the user.  Data that is obtained by the camera of the device is constantly analyzed by the application to detect any pair of eyes other than the one that is closest to the camera.  The data from the camera is further analyzed to detect eye movement.  The eye movement is analyzed to determine if at all it is a shoulder surfing or a mere pair of eyes in the background.  If shoulder surfing is detected, then one or more actions may be perfor...
