Generally, alert/alarm is very popular in our daily life. Alert/alarm is used for various purposes.

However, there is no technique to generate alarms, indications or recommendations based upon a specific situation.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention proposes a technique to allow a user to create a condition based decision tree or list. Such condition based decision tree or list results in either a recommendation or alert/alarm on a unit. Such condition based decision tree is generated on the unit or on an offline utility which exist on a personal computer (PC), tablet or smart phone. Once the condition based decision tree is created the condition based decision tree is transferred onto the unit and activated. The condition based decision tree results in some desired action under specified conditions.

The user is provided with a graphical and/or list way of creating the customized recommendation or alert/alarm. Such customized recommendation or alert/alarm is referred as a customer program. The customer programs are uploaded onto the unit via external port or network. The customer programs are configured to run either on power up or on a specific event such as entering a mode in an incubator. Details of the alert/alarm are implemented by the user or a third part. Decision points are satisfied automatically by the unit or the user is required to enter data or confirm data via a user interface. The unit provides an...
