Disclosed are a method and system to gather data from different service centers to identify concentrations of different environment-related defects in smart household appliances in an area. The system then correlates the likely root causes of any defect and plots those causes on an electronic map to create a geo-fenced area.

Some defects in household commodities, such as rusting in copper pipes in air conditioning units or scaling in dishwashers, are related to environmental conditions. Environmental parameters that can cause different defects in household commodities include (but are not limited to):


 High or low PH in water


 Hard water


 Particulates in air


 Presence of chemicals in water, air, etc.


 Humidity levels

These environmental conditions, for instance excess Iron or Calcium in drinking water, can contribute to the contraction of different types of diseases. An opportunity exists to identify the concentration defects in household commodities by gathering data from different service centers. Accordingly, people and hospital networks can be alerted with likely diseases and recommendations.

The novel contribution is a method and system to gather data from different service centers that store data from smart appliances, and then identify concentrations of different environment-related defects in household commodities in an area. The system correlates the likely root causes (e.g., excessive iron in the water, sulfur present in the air, etc.) of any defect in household commodities. Those causes are then plotted on an electronic map. This creates a geo-fenced area from an environment-related root cause of different defects. Different geo-fencing areas are created from data gathered from different service centers.

The system then alerts people about the predicted diseases and possible recommendations because of the identified environmental problem. This can be based on a personal medical history, so alerts can be sent to individuals more susceptible to certain illnesses or environmental conditions
